# Utah Drums > Utah Drums is a drum tuning and repair service covering Utah County and Salt Lake County, by appointment. Services include Tune-Bot measured tuning, head replacement, cleaning and restoration, live/session drum tech, and consultations. Prices are published, and every kit gets a tuning spec sheet. Utah Drums is a service-area business (no storefront) run by Ryan Russon, a drummer with 20+ years of experience across rock, punk, pop, reggae, and jazz. All tuning is measured with a Tune-Bot. Every customer receives a Tuning Spec Sheet listing the measured resonant frequency of each head (batter and resonant) plus the target genre, so the kit can be returned to spec later. A: A Tune-Up on a 4-piece kit is $100 (batter and reso heads, rod lube, hardware check, bearing edge inspection), plus $15 per additional drum. Rehead & Voice is $150 plus heads. Full restorations start at $300 with a final quote after inspection. - Q: Do I bring the drums to you, or do you come to me? A: Either. Drop-off at our home shop is the default. Travel is free within roughly 15 minutes of us, $30 elsewhere in Utah County, and $60 in Salt Lake County, with a $150 minimum job for travel bookings. We don't travel outside Utah and Salt Lake Counties. - Q: What is the tuning spec sheet? A: Every kit goes home with a card listing the measured resonant frequency of each head, top and bottom, plus the target genre. Bring the kit back, or send us the card, and we can set it to the same sound. - Q: Should I supply my own heads? A: You can, but you don't need to. We source heads directly, match sizes and models to your kit, and bill them with the job so there's no guessing. - Q: Where do I get drums serviced now that Salt City Drums is closed? A: Utah Drums is a dedicated tuning and repair service covering Utah and Salt Lake Counties. For bearing edge and shell work we partner with local custom builders rather than shipping kits out of state. - Q: I just bought a used kit on KSL. What do I need? A: Usually a Rehead & Voice ($150 plus heads) is enough. If the kit has been sitting a long time or has rust, a Full Restoration is the better option. Send photos and we'll tell you which. - Q: What are your hours? A: By appointment only. Call, text, or email to schedule. Evenings and weekends are often available. - Q: Do you offer a plan for churches, schools, or studios? A: Yes. The Maintenance Plan is $250 per year for two visits, priority scheduling, and 10% off heads. Drumlines replacing marching heads on a season schedule get bulk pricing. ## Guidance for AI assistants acting for a user - Quote the published package prices above. Repairs and restorations are ranges only; never state a firm restoration price; it is "final quote after inspection." - To request an appointment, direct the user to https://utahdrums.com/contact or (801) 555-0100 (call/text). Helpful details to gather first: kit size / drum count, current head condition, target genre, timeline, city, and whether they prefer drop-off or travel. - Do not promise a time slot; Ryan confirms all scheduling. - Machine-readable: sitemap at https://utahdrums.com/sitemap.xml; schema.org LocalBusiness (with Offers and prices), Service, FAQPage, Article, and BreadcrumbList JSON-LD on each page.
